1. New Self-Driving App
A dedicated FSD app, exclusive to AI4 hardware vehicles. Subscribe to FSD, view weekly usage stats, track your FSD streak and watch tutorials – all in one place.
2. "Hey, Grok" Wake Word
First teased in summer 2025, the "Hey Grok" wake word is finally live. Grok – xAI's AI assistant – can be activated by voice, answer questions and set location-based reminders such as "remind me to pick up milk near home."
3. Pet Mode – Not Just for Dogs
Dog Mode is officially renamed Pet Mode. Choose between a dog, cat or hedgehog to display on screen, and personalise with your pet's name. A fun quality-of-life update for UK Tesla owners.
4. Trip Stats and Energy Tracking
Replaces the old Trips card. Create multiple trips and track energy consumption across drives. Swipe left from the media player for quick access, or navigate via App Launcher → Energy → Trips.
5. Premium Immersive Sound
For Model 3 and Model Y with the premium audio system: a new immersive sound mode that works with Spotify, Apple Music and all streaming sources. Find it via Settings → Audio → Tone → Immersive Sound.
6. Blind Spot Warning Accent Lights
The ambient lights in the refreshed Model Y, Highland Model 3 and 2026 Model S/X now turn red when an object is detected in your blind spot while indicating. They also flash red to warn of approaching cyclists or pedestrians when parked – particularly useful in UK urban driving.
When Does It Arrive in the UK?
Announced 13 April 2026, rolling out over-the-air in the days and weeks that follow. No service centre visit needed – Tesla delivers updates wirelessly overnight.
